O level math tuition

01 Foundation

Foundation is key for a subject like mathematics. Hence, all new students get to come for a FREE complimentary diagnostic consultation with our specialist teachers to assess their math understanding, After the review, our teachers will curate a report that includes any gaps in topics/understanding, and recommend lesson style that best suits them.

02 Learn

We believe that there is no one size fits all solution to learning, Hence, we provide different lesson styles of regular classes such has one to one arrangements, Small Group Classes ( less than 5) and Lecture Group Classes by our principal/founder.
Additionally, during holidays, we also have Math holiday workshops and bootcamps (in march, june, and september) that covers up to 80% of the syllabus. This is to help TSV students revisit past topics and our new students fill in any gaps they have in their weaker math topics.

Stay back after class for clarification – Apart from regular classes and holiday topical workshops, students can also come for complimentary consultations with our specialist teachers on weekdays to clarify any doubts.

We also have a Special whatsapp line for direct communication / help – students can text their teacher in charge if they face any challenge with their math assignments!

03 Accelerate and accessibility

After 8 years of curation and research, we have created a complete syllabus and curriculum for our students so that they can outperform in the examinations, yet does not require excessive studying time.
The Mathematics exam paper can seem overwhelming at first, with numerous topics, multiple concepts, and endless equations ― but we are confident that, if a student puts in the requisite effort, they can master the required topics in time for the exams. Our syllabus is continually revised every year, so that we focus on the most relevant topics and use the most updated lesson plans.)

04 Materials

We believe that quality materials & handouts are necessary for students to improve. Hence, We provide yearly updated materials and handouts, such as lecture notes with latest exam questions and summary formula booklets for all of our students.
All of our materials are curated by our specialist teachers, who continually update our worksheets based on the latest MOE exam papers. This ensures that our materials (notes and questions) are most up to date.So whether you are working on Log Functions or Trigonometry, you will always have a complete and detailed set of notes by your side.

Aside from lectures and classes, our take-home materials are the 2nd most important way we help our students do well. TSV students have access to our portal, where they can find practice worksheets, detailed solutions and class recordings. There is no substitute for practice. So every week, we give an ample amount of practice problems for the student to take home. Our practice problems are specifically selected to repeat and reinforce what the student learns in class that week.Since then, we have curated many other merchandise such as A&E math foolscap pad, motivational keychains and stickers, which you can purchase here

Not to worry on location as all of our classes are hybrid, and students can choose to attend lessons onsite or online. Classes are also recorded for students to revisit any lessons to clarify any doubts.

TSV's Student Success Stories

TSV managed to make A-math less daunting for me. With the help of the teachers there, I was able to understand the concepts easily and pass my A-math in O-levels. The teachers are very patient with a slow person like me, so all the support was very reassuring. The TSV portal was very helpful, as there were many additional worksheets to do for extra practice. I was able to rewatch some of the online lessons to further strengthen my understanding of the concepts during the COVID period. Lastly, I really love how aesthetically pleasing the worksheets are. I had fun looking through them during revisions and seeing the cute characters that made studying math much better. Before going to TSV, I was getting an F9 for A math and was on the edge of giving up this subject. I tried finding many A math tuition centres and many told me it's too late to start. However, TSV still accepted me in June - just 4 months before O levels. Ms Sonia and Ms iris really motivated me and pushed me beyond my limits. I was given many school papers to practice. I remember I did really poorly for my prelim A math paper 1, and I went to seek help after to prepare for my paper 2. The resources provided were on point, and it really helped my paper 2! The teacher is patient, as when she explains the various questions and concepts to students, she often repeats her explanations until all students understand them. The learning materials and notes are also simple to understand and incredibly useful. There is also a fantastic cheat sheet provided that compiles all the formulas. It also gives an overview of each chapter which is useful for the introduction to a new chapter or quick and easy revision. The questions are also challenging yet helpful when learning as it gives a good insight into how the questions are likely to appear in exams. Most importantly, the teachers have been patient, understanding and enthusiastic during my time there.
